Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
Designed to cover important aspects of the insurance field, each institute is 16 hours of instruction, followed by an optional exam. The CIC designation is earned by attending five two-day institutes and passing the exam at the end of each institute (all within five calendar years after passing the first exam).
If you already hold the CIC designation, or if you are taking the class to solely fulfill CE requirements, it is not necessary to take the test.
To retain your CIC designation, you are required to attend one CIC class per year. Choose from one of the seven basic courses or the advanced James K. Ruble Graduate Seminar.
If you have reached this page in regards to a banking concern, there has been some confusion. Banks are abbreviating the phrase “Check into Cash” as “CIC” on your statement. This is not a charge related to any Big I Illinois class. Please call your bank with questions or concerns related to this transaction.
